Although this preparation can be purchased without a prescription, you must use Nux vomica-Homaccord exactly as instructed to achieve maximum therapeutic benefit.

1.   What Nux vomica-Homaccord is and what it is used for

Nux vomica-Homaccord is a homeopathic preparation.

2.   What you need to know before you use Nux vomica-Homaccord

Do not take Nux vomica-Homaccord, if you are allergic to active substances or any of the other ingredients of Nux vomica-Homaccord.

Take special care with Nux vomica-Homaccord, because

this preparation contains ethanol. Therefore, Nux vomica-Homaccord is not recommended for pregnant, breast-feeding women, children and patients at elevated risk, e.g. liver diseases or epilepsy.
Do not use in patients with alcoholism.
The medicine contains 35% (by volume) of alcohol, i.e. up to 150.2mg alcohol per dose (10 drops). This equals 3 mL of 5% beer, 1.27 mL of 12% wine or 49.73 mL of apple juice. It is not recommended for patients with alcohol addiction, also for patients with liver disease and epilepsy. Keep in mind the said alcohol content when using this preparation in pregnant and breast-feeding women or in children.

Other medicines and Nux vomica-Homaccord

There are no known interactions with other medicines.
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are using or have recently used any other medicines, including over-the-counter medicines.

Pregnancy and breast-feeding

Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine.
No negative experiences have been observed. Alcohol content must be considered when using during pregnancy (see section “Take special care with:..”).

Driving and using machines

Nux vomica-Homaccord has not been shown to impair your ability to drive or to use any tools or machines, and it is not to be expected due to homeopathic dilutions.

3.   How to use Nux vomica-Homaccord

Always take Nux vomica-Homaccord exactly as described in this leaflet.
Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
Adults and children from 12 years of age: take 10 drops 3 times a day. In acute cases 10 drops in every 15 minutes during 2 hours.
Children aged 6...11 years: take 7 drops 3 times a day. In acute cases 7 drops in every 15 minutes during 2 hours.
Children aged 2...5 years: take 5 drops 3 times a day. In acute cases 5 drops in every 15 minutes during 2 hours.
Children under 2 years of age: take 3 drops 3 times a day. In acute cases 3 drops in every 15 minutes during 2 hours.
Permitted from the first day of life. For babies, dilute single dose in a small amount of water.
For children, dilute the dose in a small amount of water.
Prolonged use (over one month and longer) requires doctor’s supervision.
If you have the impression that the effect of Nux vomica-Homaccord is too strong or too weak, talk to your doctor or pharmacist. If you have any further questions on the use of this medicine, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

If you take more Nux vomica-Homaccord than you should

No case of overdose has been reported and it is not to be expected due to homeopathic dilution.

If you forget to take Nux vomica-Homaccord

Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose.

If you stop using Nux vomica-Homaccord

In all questions on the use of this medicine, consult your doctor.

4.   Possible side effects

Like all medicines, Nux vomica-Homaccord can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. There are no known side effects.
If any of the side effects gets serious, or if you notice a side effect not listed in this leaflet, please tell your doctor or pharmacist.

5.   How to store Nux vomica-Homaccord

Nux vomica-Homaccord does not require any special storage conditions.
Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children.
Do not use Nux vomica-Homaccord after the expiry date which is stated on the carton.
Do not throw away any medicines via wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to throw away medicines you no longer use. These measures will help protect the environment.
