Read all of this leaflet carefully before you start useing this medicine because it contains important information for you.

This medicine is available without prescription. Nevertheless you still need to use Berberis-Homaccord in accordance with the instructions to get the best results from it.

1.   WHAT BERBERIS-HOMACCORD IS AND WHAT IT IS USED FOR

Berberis-Homaccord is a homeopathic preparation.

2.   WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE YOU USE BERBERIS-HOMACCORD

Do not take Berberis-Homaccord if you are allergic to the active substance or any of the ingredients of this medicine.

Take special care with Berberis-Homaccord because:

this product contains ethanol. Therefore Berberis-Homaccord is not recommended for pregnant and breast-feeding women, children and high-risk patients, such as patients with liver disease or epilepsy.
No to be used by person with alcoholism.
The product contains 35% alcohol of volume, which provides up to 150.2 mg of alcohol per dose (10 drops). This is equal to 3 ml of 5% beer, 1.27 ml of 12% wine or 49.73 ml of apple juice. It is not recommended for people with alcohol dependence, liver disease or epilepsy. In pregnancy and breastfeeding, the alcohol content must be considered.

Other medicines and Berberis-Homaccord

Interactions with other medicines are not known.
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, even those bought without prescription.

Pregnancy and breast-feeding

Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using the product.
No negative experience has been noted. In pregnancy, the alcohol content must be considered (see section Special precautions).

Driving and using machines

The effect of Berberis-Homaccord to driving and using machines has not been noted and it is not anticipated due to homeopathic dilutions.

3.   HOW TO USE BERBERIS-HOMACCORD

Always take Berberis-Homaccord as the information leaflet describes.
Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
Adults and children 12 years and above: take 10 drops 3 times per day.
In acute cases 10 drops every 30 minutes up to 12 times per day.
In children, administer with drops diluted in a small amount of water.
Longer term use (more than a month) requires a check with a doctor.
If you feel that the effect of Berberis-Homaccord is too strong or too weak, talk to your doctor or pharmacist. If you have any further questions on the use of this medicine, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
If you take more Berberis-Homaccord than you should
Overdose has not been noted and it is not anticipated due to the homeopathic dilutions.
If you forgot to take Berberis-Homaccord
Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose
If you stop taking Berberis-Homaccord
Consult your doctor with all questions regarding the use to the product.
4.   POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS
Like all medicines, Berberis-Homaccord can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
No side effects are known.
If any of the side effects get serious, or if you notice any side effects not listed in this leaflet, please tell your doctor or pharmacist.
5.   HOW TO STORE BERBERIS-HOMACCORD
No special requirements for storage for Berberis-Homaccord.
Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children.
Do not use Berberis-Homaccord after the expiry date which is stated on the package.
Do not throw away any medicines via wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to throw away medicines you no longer use. These measures will help protect the environment.
