Read all of this leaflet carefully before you start using this medicine because it contains important information for you.

1. What Bronchipret is and what it is used for
Bronchipret is an herbal product that is used for acute bronchitis and cough treatment as an expectorant.
2. What you need to know before you use Bronchipret Do not use Bronchipret:
If you are sensitive to the common thyme, common ivy or other plants from the mint family; also to birch, Artemisia, celery or any other ingredient of the medicine. In children under 1 year.
Warnings and precautions
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using Bronchipret. If the symptoms last longer than 7 days with dyspnoea, fever and blood or pus in sputum, consult immediately with your doctor. The medicine contains 7 volume percent of alcohol, i.e. up to 0.3 g of alcohol per 5.4 mL that equals to 8 mL of beer or 3 mL of wine. The medicine is dangerous to people suffering from alcoholism. Also the alcohol content of the medicine must be considered by pregnant and breast-feeding women and children if they use the medicine more than they should; also patients with liver disease, epilepsy, brain trauma or brain disease. If you have been told by your doctor that you have intolerance to some sugars, contact your doctor before taking this medicinal product.
Children
Bronchipret should not be given to children under 1 years of age. Other medicines and Bronchipret No interactions with other medicines are known. Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are using, have recently used or might use any other medicines.
Bronchipret with food and drink

Pregnancy, breast-feeding and fertility
Due to lack of research data the solution may not be used during pregnancy and breast-feeding. Driving and using machines If used in prescribed doses the medicine does not influence the ability to drive or use machines.
3. How to take Bronchipret
Always use this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure. If your doctor has not prescribed differently, take the Bronchipret solution 3 times per day with the provided measurement cup. Dose depends on the age of patient (see the following table)

Take Bronchipret without diluting it; you can drink water after if you wish. Shake before use. The duration of the treatment course will depend on the severity of the condition. If the symptoms last longer than 7 days with dyspnoea, fever and blood or pus in sputum, consult immediately with your doctor (see section 2 Warnings and precautions and section 4 Possible side effects)
If you take more Bronchipret than you should
Large overdoses may cause gastric symptoms, vomiting and diarrhoea. In this case contact a doctor who will decide which methods to use.
If you forget to take Bronchipret
Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose. Continue using the medicine as a doctor has recommended or as described in section 2 How to take Bronchipret
If you stop taking Bronchipret
Usually stopping taking Bronchipret does not cause problems. If you have any further questions on the use of this medicine, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
4. Possible side effects
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

If you experience any of the side effects listed below, stop taking Bronchipret and turn to a doctor immediately. Sometimes gastrointestinal disorders such as spasms (muscular contractions) in the abdomen, nausea and vomiting may occur. Rarely hypersensitivity reactions such as redness, dyspnoea, urticaria, facial, swelling of mouth and/or larynx. If you experience first signs of hypersensitivity, stop using Bronchipret. If you have side effects, stop using Bronchipret and consult with your doctor.

If you get any side effects, talk to your doctor or pharmacist. This includes any possible side effects not listed in this leaflet. You can also report side effects directly via www.ravimiamet.ee. By reporting side effects, you can help provide more information on the safety of this medicine. 5. How to store Bronchipret Keep out of the sight and reach of children. Do not use Bronchipret after the expiry date which is stated on the package. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month. Store in the original package, protected from light. In certain conditions a mild precipitate may occur, which does not however affect the effect of the medicine. Do not throw away any medicines via wastewater or household waste. Ask with your pharmacist how to throw away medicines you no longer use. These measures will help protect the environment. Store at temperatures below 25°C. Shelf life is 6 months after the first opening.
6. Contents of the pack and other information What Bronchipret contains:
The active substance are common thyme liquid extract and common ivy leaf extract. 1 mL of Bronchipret contains: common thyme liquid extract (1:2-2.5, extractors 10% ammonia solution, 85% glycerol, 90% ethanol, water (1:20:70:109)) 169.49 mg; common ivy leaf extract (1:1 extractor 70% ethanol) 16.95 mg. - Excipients are citric acid monohydrate, purified water, potassium sorbate, maltitole solution, hydroxypropyl betadex

Bronchipret is bright brown, clear liquid with aromatic smell that is packed into 50 mL and 100 mL bottles.
