Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. - Keep this leaflet. You may need to read it again. - Ask your pharmacist if you need more information or advice. - If you get any side effects, talk to your doctor or pharmacist. This includes any possible side effects not listed in this leaflet. See section 4. - You must talk to a doctor if you do not feel better or if you feel worse after 2 weeks.

1. What Deep Relief is and what it is used for
Deep Relief is a pain relieving gel applied on the skin. The gel relieves acute pain and reduces the inflammatory swelling of joints and surrounding tissue. The gel is used in case of muscle and joint traumas (sports traumas), such as sprains, dislocations, strains. Deep Relief contains two active substances: - Ibuprofen belongs to the group of medicines known as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) that ensure efficient pain relief and reduce both inflammation and swelling. - Levomenthol ensures a soothing analgesic sensation. You must talk to a doctor if you do not feel better or if you feel worse after 2 weeks.
2. What you need to know before you use Deep Relief
Do not use Deep Relief:
- if you are allergic to ibuprofen, levomenthol, or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6); - if you are allergic to acetylsalicylic acid or other analgesics known as non-steroidal antiinflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), incl. oral medicines; - if you have asthma and acetylsalicylic acid or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs cause an asthma attack, allergic rhinitis, pruritus or rash; - in the last trimester of pregnancy; - if you are breast-feeding; - if your skin is damaged, infected or inflamed.
Do not use Deep Relief:
- in children under 12 years of age; - around the lips, nose, eyes, on reproductive organs, in the anal area or other sensitive areas. Should this happen by accident, wash the cream off with copious amounts of clean water; - in the same area of skin with other medicines used on the skin. Deep Relief is only meant for use on the skin. Do not use orally.
Warnings and precautions
Talk to your doctor before using Deep Relief: - if a medicine or cosmetic product has caused an allergy (rash, pruritus, etc.); - if you have (currently have or have previously had) kidney problems; - if you have (currently have or have previously had) a stomach ulcer; - if you are up to six months pregnant or think that you may be pregnant; - if you have problems conceiving or you are receiving fertility treatment. Avoid using Deep Relief near the eyes and other sensitive areas.
Other medicines and Deep Relief
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken or might take any other medicines. Talk to your doctor before using Deep Relief if you are using: - acetylsalicylic acid; - another analgesic; - any other medicine regularly.
Pregnancy and breast-feeding
Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or think you may be pregnant. Using Deep Relief is not recommended in the first six months of pregnancy. Do not use Deep Relief in the last trimester of pregnancy. Do not use Deep Relief if you are breast-feeding. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using the medicine.
Deep Relief contains propylene glycol
Propylene glycol may cause skin irritation.
3. How to use Deep Relief
Deep Relief is intended for adults and children over 12 years of age. - Always test the gel first on a small area of skin. - For a single application, take 1-4 cm Deep Relief gel if you are using a 30 g or 50 g tube, or 4-10 cm of gel if you are using a 15 g tube. - Apply the gel on the required area in a thin layer. - Rub gently until complete absorption. You may feel a prickling sensation. - Do not use more gel than recommended. - Repeat the application if necessary, but no more than 3 times per day. Do not use more often than every 4 hours. If the pain and swelling do not disappear after 2 weeks of using Deep Relief, ask your doctor for advice. - Wash your hand immediately after applying Deep Relief. - Carefully recap the tube. - Stop using Deep Relief if you get excessive irritation or other undesired effects. Do not cover the treated area with a gauze or adhesive bandage. Wearing clothes on the treated area does not cause any problems.
If you use more Deep Relief than you should
If you accidentally squeezed too much gel from the tube, remove the excess gel with a napkin. If you or your child has accidentally swallowed some gel, immediately talk to a doctor or a hospital.
If you forget to use Deep Relief
Apply Deep Relief again when you remember it, but do not use the gel more often than 3 times per day or more frequently than every 4 hours.
4. Possible side effects
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. Immediately stop using Deep Relief and talk to your doctor if you develop any of the following effects: - respiratory disorder; - dyspnoea; - blisters or rash; - pruritus, redness or bruises on the skin; - facial swelling. Application of the gel can cause mild skin reactions: redness, dryness, prickling or burning sensation. This is no cause for concern. If the symptoms worsen, stop using Deep Relief and talk to your doctor. In order to relieve side effects, use the minimum dose for the shortest possible time. In rare cases, the side effects can include: - stomach pain or indigestion; - kidney problems if you have a kidney disease.

5. How to store Deep Relief
Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children. Do not store at a temperature higher than 25 °C. Carefully recap the tube after use. Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the carton and tube. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month. Do not throw away any medicines via wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to throw away medicines you no longer use. These measures will help protect the environment.
6. Contents of the pack and other information What Deep Relief contains
The active substances are ibuprofen and levomenthol. 1 g of gel contains 50 mg of ibuprofen and 30 mg of levomenthol. The other ingredients are propylene glycol, carbomer, di-isopropanolamine, ethanol and purified water.
What Deep Relief looks like and contents of the pack
Deep Relief is a clear gel. The tube contains 15 g, 30 g or 50 g of gel. Not all pack sizes may be marketed.
