Other medicines and Nicorette Invisipatch:

Smoking may alter your response to certain medicines. Thus, when you stop smoking (either with or without using nicotine replacement therapy), the doses of medicines you use may need to be adjusted. Consult your doctor or pharmacist before using Nicorette Invisipatch if you use medicines such as theophylline, tacrine, clozapine, imipramine, olanzapine, clomipramine, fluvoxamine, ropinirole, flecainide and pentazocine.
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are using, have recently used or might use any other medicines. Doses may need to be adjusted when you stop smoking.

Pregnancy and breast-feeding

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
The best option to improve the health of mother and child is to stop smoking without nicotine replacement therapy. If pregnant women fail to stop smoking, they can use Nicorette Invisipatch only after consulting healthcare professional.
Nicotine is excreted in breast milk in small quantities that may be harmful for the baby even in therapeutic doses. Thus, using Nicorette Invisipatch should be avoided during breast-feeding. If breastfeeding women fail to stop smoking, they can use Nicorette Invisipatch only after consulting with a healthcare professional.

If you take more Nicorette Invisipatch than you should

If you start using Nicorette Invisipatch patch, stop smoking entirely. When using Nicorette Invisipatch, symptoms of nicotine overdose may occur in smokers who have recently received less nicotine from cigarettes or who simultaneously receive nicotine from Nicorette Invisipatch and other sources.
The symptoms of overdose are headache, drowsiness, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, increased salivation, sweating, loss of hearing and intense weakness.
Remove patch and rinse skin with water.
If you receive too much nicotine or if a child gets hold of Nicorette Invisipatch patch, contact your doctor or a hospital immediately.
How to use the patch ?
Nicorette Invisipatch must be attached to clean, dry and hairless skin, e.g. on a hip, upper outer arm or chest. These sites must be changed daily and the same area must not be used for two consecutive days.
1.   Wash your hands before attaching the patch to the skin.
2.   Use scissors to cut the sachet along its edge as indicated. Choose clean, dry and hairless skin area - hip, upper outer arm or chest.
3.   Pull the silver foil backing more than half-way off. Avoid touching the sticky surface of the patch with fingers.
4.   Carefully place the sticky side of the patch onto skin and pull off the other half of the silver foil backing.
5.   Press the patch against the skin with your palm or fingertips.
6.   Press the edges of the patch to ensure that it adheres to the skin securely.
7.   If the patch comes off the skin, replace it with new patch. Using skin care products or talc may prevent the patch from sticking to the skin.
After removing the patch, it has to be destroyed as follows: fold used patches so that the sticky side remains inside, re-insert them in the empty sachet and dispose of in a manner that it would be inaccessible for children.

There may also occur physical effects such as decreased heart rate, increased appetite or weight increase, dizziness or presyncope symptoms, cough, constipation, gingival bleeding or oral mucosal ulcers, nasopharyngitis.
