1. What Neuromultivit is and what it is used for

Neuromultivit contains vitamin B1, B6 and B12, which are essential for metabolism of nervous system. Similar to other vitamins, they are irreplaceable food components that the body itself cannot produce.
The effect of vitamin B in treating nervous system disorders consists in alleviation of concomitant vitamin B deficiency and stimulation of natural regeneration of neural tissue.
Neuromultivit is indicated for nervous system disorders caused by vitamin B deficiency.

2. What you need to know before you use Neuromultivit Do not take Neuromultivit

-   if you are allergic to thiamine hydrochloride (vitamin B1), pyridoxine hydrochloride (vitamin B6), cyanocobalamin (vitamin B12) or any of the ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6).
-   if you are a child or an adolescent (under 18 years), because the medication contains high dose of vitamins.

Warnings and precautions

Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Neuromultivit.
Persons who were administered vitamin B6 at doses exceeding 50 mg a day for a long period or at doses exceeding 1 g a day for a short period, developed sensation of tingling or pins and needles of the hands or feet (symptoms of peripheral sensory neuropathy or paraesthesia). If you develop sensation of tingling or pins and needles or other side effect, contact your doctor, who will adjust the dosage or discontinue treatment if necessary.

Children and adolescents

Due to high content of active substances, Neuromultivit must not be used in children and adolescents (aged less than 18 years).

Other medicines and Neuromultivit

Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are using or have recently used or might use any other medicines.
-   Vitamin B1 may lose its effectiveness when administered with cytostatic medicine 5-Fluorouracil (anticancer medicine).
-   Antacids (to treat excess stomach acid) reduce absorption of vitamin B1.
-   Prolonged treatment with certain medicines that promote increased production of urine (diuretics), e.g. furosemide, may cause vitamin B1 deficiency, because lots of vitamin B1 is excreted in urine.
-   Co-administration of L-DOPA (anti-Parkinson drugs) with vitamin B1 may reduce the effectiveness of L-DOPA.
-   Vitamin B6 need may increase if Neuromultivit is co-administered with vitamin B6 antagonists (called pyridoxine antagonists, e.g. isoniazid, hydralazine, D-penicillamine or cycloserine).

Neuromultivit with food and drink

Alcohol and tea reduce absorption of vitamin B1.
When used with drinks containing sulphur compounds (e.g. wine), vitamin B1 may break down and lose its effectiveness.

Pregnancy and breast-feeding

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
Do not take Neuromultivit during pregnancy or breast-feeding without doctor’s recommendation.
During pregnancy and breast-feeding, daily vitamin intake should come from balanced diet. Due to vitamin content of this medicinal product, it is indicated for treatment of vitamin deficiency only and can be taken only on the basis of a medical prescription after careful consideration of the benefit/risk ratio.
Vitamins B1, B6 and B12 are excreted in breast milk. Large doses of vitamin B6 may reduce breast milk production.
